TRANSLATION CHECKING

We are still checking 2 Samuel with our consultant today. Hopefully, we will be able to finish checking all the books that has been drafted so that we can have them published as a trial version. The books are Daniel, Nehemiah, Haggai, Malachi, Esther, 1 &2 Samuel, and Joshua in addition to Jonah, Proverbs and Ruth that are already in the hands of the Kalanguya people.

There is nothing to do but glorify God for all the great things that he has been doing in the Kalanguya Bible Translation ministry. Today, we celebrate the first day of the new addition in our team-- Norman Malcat-- a dear brother who resigned from his government job because of his commitment to the Lord. Please pray that our team will grow spiritually together as we endeavor towards finishing the work that the Lord has priveleged us with. It is indeed a great honor to be working with the KING.

Please pray with us (Bong & Margie) also for our trip to Mindanao on May 16, 2006. We hope to kickstart a translation team among Bong's people... the Southern Subanen of Zamboanga Sibugay Province.

Please pray also for the upcoming 37th Kalanguya Believers' Annual Conference which will happen in Mapayao Christian Church, Kayapa, Nueva Vizcaya. Pray for a time of spiritual growth and revival among the Kalanguya believers. Pray that God will be continually glorified in the lives of the Kalanguya people.

April 2001 I woke up early this morning and went straight to doing my weekend chores...like hanging a two-week worth of laundry under the sun (before the sun is up), afterwhich I went back to bed to do some reading. ADDICTIONS

My addictions are weird but I think these are not unique to me.  I have three addictions and I am very glad that I have overcome one of them, at least for now.   #SUGAR_ADDICT  Over a month ago, I was probably one of the worst sugar/carb addict there is.  Since I was diagnosed with diabetes almost three decades ago, I went into a rollercoaster of dieting and fasting and binge eating.  I would weigh myself, get disgusted with what I see and resolve to eat nothing for a week. I would lose 10kg, then the following week, I would eat all the calories that I restricted myself from and more.  Then in April of last year I tried the ketogenic diet and it was working for a month or so until an aunt commented that I will get all wrinkly and saggy if I lose too much weight and my mind used that statement as an excuse to go back to my standard way of eating which has always left me feeling and looking bloated, inflamed, fat, and ugly.  It also aggravated all my health issues specially w
