STILL N OT QUITE DONE

I just discovered yesterday that a camote in my kitchen has grown some leaves. It is an evidence that I have not been cooking for the past two months. I didn't need to. We have a chef in the house.

These last five weeks, we have been checking OT books. Now, after those five weeks, we are still not quite done. We prepared 110 chapters to be checked and we've done 101. One hundred one chapters in five weeks? Not bad! There's still 9 left, yes, and we'll have to squeeze that into this week's busy days. Actually, we only have less than two days to finish it. We have the whole day of Monday to work, then Tuesday is Sarah's graduation (at last ), so we'll have to be there with her; Wednesday, I would like to have that all to myself and my Paratext to do all the necessary checks before we travel down to Manila on Thursday to submit our manuscript for typesetting the next day. And so hopefully, by the end of the second quarter, the books of Judges, Jeremiah, Amos, Obadiah, Micah, Nahum, Zephaniah, and Zechariah shall be published and read in the Kalanguya language.

It would seem that we did nothing this last few weeks but read. Well, basically, yes, but not only that. There are quite a few nice events that happened. In Feb 17, we were able to finally launch the CFM worship team called THE SEEKERS. They performed during a dinner held in honor of our missionaries as well as a chance for the believers among the Kalanguya professionals to be challenged to contribute more of their resources (time, knowledge, skills, and finance) to the work of the Lord.

In February also, it was confirmed that my brother is going to join the local politics. I have mixed feelings about this. (Actually, a solid feeling of dislike about the whole idea of him getting entangled in that mess.) But well, he was declared as one of the official candidates of their party so I guessed there's nothing to do but to vote for him, and pray and hope for the best.

A big happy event also took place in March 1st. Our teammate Norman and his wife Hilda delivered a healthy boy. He's called Daniel Jude. He is their first born.

For three consecutive Thursdays also, Bong traveled to the village of Nansiakan to present the True Love Waits series to the Young People there.

Last week, the last stroke of paintbrush was given and the last head of nail was hammered into the new room that was added to our house/office. It is a cool room with screens all around. After I come back from Manila, I am sure we are going to have a good time re-arranging our desks, and other furniture around the house with this extra space. (See now, Bong and I am supposed to go to Manila or somewhere this year to get further training but now I feel like staying right here and enjoy the new office or the new sala, or whatever that room is going to be...hehehe.)

(Anyway, today I learned something very important.................................. that blogging is better than tv viewing,,,, LOLZ)

Ah, kaya pala you told me kahapon na tapos na ang Obadiah. Di ko nakuha ang significance kasi naman po wala sa context. Anyway, may tulugan ba ung bago niyong office? Nyehehehehe.... Good job sa inyong lahat jan.
